OutdoorLighting.co.za is a free quote service for outdoor lighting in South Africa. Whether you want two new lights at the front door, a fully lit garden, solar flood lights on the farm sheds or LED street lights for an estate, one request reaches the suppliers and electricians near you.
How it works
Fill in the fixture schedule at the bottom of the page: the fittings you want, how many, how they are powered, and where the property is. If you don't know yet, describe the job instead, for example "light up the driveway and front wall, about 30 m from the DB board". We send it to lighting suppliers or electricians who work in your area, and they quote you directly. You compare and decide. It costs you nothing.
The lighting schedule
Every type of outdoor lighting we cover, grouped by where it goes on a property. The rating column shows the usual weather protection for that kind of fitting, and the colour bar its usual colour temperature.

Getting outdoor lighting quotes you can compare
Quotes differ in more than the price per fitting. Check whether the quote is for supply only or supply and installation, how many metres of cable, trenching and conduit are included, the IP rating and finish of each fitting (salt air and Highveld storms are hard on cheap lights), whether LED drivers carry a warranty, if surge protection is included, and that the electrician will issue a CoC for new wiring. Two or three quotes for the same schedule make the differences easy to see.
